Sadly our beloved competition will not feature the S&V crisps of renowned US snack manufacturer UTZ.
It seems that the credit crunch has decreed that there will be one less crunch in SVWC09, as Utz are not in a position to supply the five packs of snacks needed to cover all the rounds. It’s a shame. I hope all the merchant bankers who caused this are happy now!
Utz told us:
“We appreciate the opportunity to participate in your event, but at this time, we have allocated all our monetary/sponsorship commitments for 2009 and are not able to participate.
As you can imagine, we are inundated with requests from customer and charitable organizations and although we contribute hundreds of thousands per year in monetary and product contributions to charitable organizations, we cannot contribute to all.
